Babies and Children with Cerebral Palsy,デュベティカダウンジャケット
Today we had a followup with the orthopedic specialist. He said ds is definitely walking better in his braces (he was at first skeptical that bracing would help) but they need some adjustments and thinks there can be more improvements. He said he wants to try everything he can before having to move to AFO's. He sad he thinks AFO's will restrict ds to much?? Anyways ds is taring his shoes apart,デュベティカ 店舗, nothing new. He has had these sneakers for a month and the sole (sp?) part near the toes is sliced open. Hard to explain but they need retiring. I'm wondering if high top shoes would be better than low top (not for quality,ダウンジャケットduvetica, for support)? Would they provide more support? Or to much restriction? Also,デュベチカ専売店, ds always complains that the strap over the top of his foot on the SMO hurts,デュベティカダウンジャケット, though the orthotic specialist says it needs to be super tight. He doesn't have a strap on the top of the smo,デュベティカダウンジャケット, just across the top of the foot (there is a back strap on top at the calf,デュベティカ 激安, but not a front strap on the shin). So I dunno what to do about that either. There is a pad on it.
SMO's were no help at all to Peyton who is very similar to your little one. She switched to a hinged AFO specifically the DAFO 2 softee. After reading both the stroller and this post I think it would be extremely beneficial for him to see a physiatrist. They are sometimes called rehabilitation Drs. Ours I know specifically specializes in CP. She has been there to get her bracing and any adaptive equiptment we may need. Our ortho team here wouldnt even touch Peytons care because they said since she had no bone deformities it wasn't thier issue. Real nice I know,デュベティカ 店舗, but still. the meantime,デュベティカ ダウンジャケット, when Peyton has had Surestep SMO's and Jumpstarts. If you can get a high top to fit then I would suggest it. It allowed her less bend in her ankle so at least toe dragging was a little less possible. The only thing that really helped her though was the switch to AFO's.
Alison- Most insurances should cover them. Ours personally gives us 2000 in adaptive equiptment a year. Our SMO's by surestep cost 900,ダウンジャケットduvetica, the AFO's were 1300. our first trip to rehabilitation med our Dr just came in and immediately started doing her work up; observations,デュベティカレディースダウンジャケット, gait analysis,デュベティカ 店舗 東京, tone anaylsis. Then she spoke with me about any concerns we had about peyton even if they didnt seem like they were in her field. Then she recommended her bracing needs etc. She is pretty much there to get you any adaptive eqpt and pt/ot/st referrals you may need. past visit she made the recommendation for a G-Tube placement,ダウンジャケットduvetica, ST for feeding,デュベティカ ダウンジャケット, and referred us to the wheelchair clinic. They are a really really great resource and work with thier whole body. If you have any concerns about your own health or the health of your child,デュベティカ 店舗, you should always consult with a physician or other healthcare professional.
