Actually,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], me and Stinky were comparing work conditions. She finds it condescending when individuals call her 'honey', or 'darling'. Yet when older black men say so, she finds it endearing. I've found it best when gay men call me 'sweetie'. *giggles and blushes* There will be something about this that attracts me. Older people (this means even those older by a number of months) seem to call me 'honey', or 'darling'. There is something about me that suggests innocence of youth, then when I swear, you will find shocked looks around.
Could it be quite horrible to want a gay closest friend? It's become this type of cliche,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that it becomes the mainstream assumption gay men only exist to be a straight woman's closest friend. I've even read there are online ads searching for a gbf. Obviously this isn't true. But I can't help thinking I have somehow been conditioned into 'needing' a gbf in order to accept homosexuals as a whole. That's all pish, because I'm pretty laidback because it is. I really have no care whether the first is gay or straight, as long as they're not assholes or worse - boring. Yet why do I crave the attention of the gbf?
Because it is, I don't have many close friends. Sal is a, but that's because I've known her for. nine years! Holy shit! (ambles back from digression) And there is Stinky. And Tasia. Three people I haven't were able to fully alienate. But there isn't anyone I'd fully be comfortable with with regards to confiding secret thoughts. The myth is, a gbf is perfect for such activities. He nevers tells, has some witty repartee about a certain-so-and-so, and says something along the lines of 'you go girl!' Honestly, how insulting is the fact that? Not everyone is like this. But isn't that what we should watch on television?
Reason #1:
It would be nice to possess a guy friend the ones won't be this type of clueless jerk. (that's a different story) A man who is kind to women, sympathetic towards the woes of women,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and has a snappy style. Please - there are lots of men that have met the previous three conditions. And many of them aren't gay. True,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they appear to be scarce, however these traits aren't just present in one section of the population.
Reason #2:
Somebody that shares a desire for men, knows men,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and it is quite useful when you are that area. Isn't that the attraction? The gbf would somehow spill the beans on how the straight man thinks? How true was the prior statement? I have a friend who hasn't a clue how the average straight male thinks. We always joke about the cute men we see, but if anything, he asks me about guys as much as I ask him. Besides, probably the most accurate gaydar at the office is a woman. She's never been wrong, apparently. All I understand though, is the fact that she looked at me, cocked an eyebrow, and said 'Hmmm' in a manner that helped me uncomfortable. As though she knew something I didn't, and wasn't telling. *shrugs*
I can't think about every other gbf reasons. So you see, there isn't any real reason why I should want a gbf. A buddy continues to be a buddy, whether straight or gay or bi. Still. I wouldn't mind having a Queer Guy (from any Queer Eye series) Smile

Read a couple of days ago the cash is on Dougray Scott. I always thought of him because the bloke who turned down the Wolverine part to be in MI:2. However, I did watch 'Enigma' (awful - no chemistry between Scott and Winslet), and that he did carry from the part of tortured mathematician quite well. Real question is, can he channel that mindset into Bond mode? He might, he may.
Second favourite through the bookmakers is still Clive Owen". Hurrah! I hope they choose him. The man is probably not matinee-gorgeous, but he's bloody talented. In everything (particularly 'Second Sight' and 'Gosford Park'). Except I haven't watched 'King Arthur'. It's got skinny Keira, and watching both kiss onscreen is excruciating. And oh god, I cannot wait for 'Sin City'! It looks so good (and Mr. Owen by extension) which i could just jizz.
What about Pierce Brosnan? Apparently the Broccoli family (those who produced and control the franchise) want someone new and younger to connect using the audience. The problem is they desire a relative unknown whereas the studio wants a large star like Hugh Jackman. Another actor still in the running is Ewan MacGregor,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. But my favourite is Mr. Owen,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Seriously! Take a look at 'Croupier' and the BMW films and try to deny him the role!
