The 1954 Gibson Les Paul Custom has always been one of my favourite guitars and I have never forgiven myself for many years ago passing on the chance to buy an excellent condition, original model for a very low price. Oh well, we all make mistakes.

1. This was Gibson's first luxury version of the Les Paul model. The gold top version was introduced in 1952, but this all black custom guitar was its flagship.
