Normally low-key and by her own admission not a salesperson, when Ann Marie Williams talks about Arbonne products, her eyes light up and she becomes animated.
"I really,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], really believe in Arbonne products. since 1980,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Arbonne is sold through network marketing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], directly presenting the product lines to prospective clients. Arbonne products are comparable to high-end skin/body care lines in terms of quality as well as the price point, although there are some discounts to be had. Word of mouth is the most effective form of advertising and is what drives Arbonne sales. Arbonne consultants can host events (which are a lot of fun) where they can showcase their products to a group or meet with prospective clients individually. The company is vegan-certified and is pro-green by committing to reducing their carbon footprint,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], having a responsible harvest-and-replenish policy, incorporating recyclable products into their packaging when possible, even using some soy-based inks.
Ann Marie, a central NJ resident and banking executive by day,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], was facing some burgeoning personal costs: a daughter entering college and astronomical full-time childcare costs for her two youngest children. "Even though we have a two-income household, we can't cut costs on college tuition and we can't cut corners on good childcare. It makes things tighter than we would like." Normally skeptical, Ann Marie fell in love with Arbonne's RE9 anti-aging line when a friend, also an Arbonne consultant, hosted a group event. She loved the product line so much that she signed on as a consultant and the rest, as they say,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], is history. "I'm not a salesperson -- not at all -- but I find that I have no problem selling Arbonne because all I'm doing is talking about something I like. I still can't believe how well I'm doing with this!"
Ann Marie offers: "One of the best things about Arbonne is that there's no pressure to buy. You get three days to try out our products and see if they're a fit for you. I mean,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we don't claim that every product works for everyone, that would be silly,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and that's what's so great; if you only like one element of the line, you don't have to buy the entire line,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you can buy just that one component." Further,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she says, "I've had clients who are dedicated to their current facial products and won't change those, but who absolutely swear by our body products, scrubs, lotions, what have you. Arbonne has over 450+ products, so there's something for everybody. I have a few male clients, you know, because men are much more interested in maintaining their appearance these days than they used to be -- they are some of my most faithful -- and I have a complete subset of clients who buy only our baby line,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which is a very big seller, especially when they see how my youngest daughter's skin has cleared up. She has very dry skin and is prone to really bad eczema flare-ups, and since I started using ABC [the baby care line], no more dry skin and no more eczema patches."
As a consultant, Ann Marie says that when she has questions or concerns, her Arbonne mentor and support have been there to answer questions and provide advice. "I love the fact that I can fit Arbonne into the niches of my life, you know, between my career and my family, and that I have that flexibility. One of the things that I like the most is that when I attend regional meetings, I can look at the RVPs (Regional Vice-Presidents) and see all kinds of people: a lawyer, a stay-at-home mom,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a socially-conscious vegan, Black, White, you name it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and it's refreshing that I don't have to conform to a set mold to be successful,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], to even go to that next level if I choose to. I can just be me."
